Free Crochet Halloween Amigurumi Pattern: Witch and Pumpkin Dolls

Crochet Halloween Amigurumi: A Little Witch & Pumpkin Girl

Fall is the perfect season to pick up your hook, and these two tiny Halloween dolls are the cutest project we've seen this year. Meet the little purple witch and her best friend, the pumpkin girl.

About the dolls

The witch wears a soft lavender dress, a pointed hat and long gray braids. The pumpkin girl has an orange puffy dress, a little pumpkin on top of her hair buns and tiny brown boots. Both have big sparkly eyes and rosy cheeks that give them a lot of personality.

Good to know: each doll is worked in small pieces (head, body, arms, legs, clothes and hair) that you sew together at the end. That makes it easy to follow, even if you're new to amigurumi.

About the crochet pattern

  • Technique: amigurumi, worked in continuous rounds with single crochet.
  • Size: small and cuddly, perfect as a shelf decoration or a gift.
  • Materials: cotton or acrylic yarn in purple, orange, skin tone, brown and gray, a small hook, safety eyes and stuffing.
  • Level: beginner to intermediate.

Why you'll love making them

They work up quickly, use very little yarn and look amazing together. Dress them up differently, change the hair colors, or make a whole Halloween family. They're also a lovely handmade gift for friends who love cozy fall decor.

Tips before you start

  • Use a hook one size smaller than your yarn recommends so the stuffing doesn't show.
  • Stuff firmly but evenly for a smooth shape.
  • Use a stitch marker to keep track of each round.
  • Sew on the arms and head last, once everything is stuffed.
